Our approach

Start with your question.

We are developing a simple way to help blind and low-vision U.S. veterans identify a useful next step.

  1. Ask a general question

Veterans, caregivers, and community contacts can contact the foundation. We will explain current availability. This website does not accept participant applications or device requests.

  2. Describe your everyday goal

Tell us what you want to do, what is getting in the way, and how you prefer to communicate. The veteran sets the goal. Technology comes into the conversation when it may help.

  3. Discuss a practical next step

Within our scope and capacity, that may be accessible information, guidance with existing technology, peer connection, or a referral to a qualified professional or organization.

  4. Follow up when appropriate

As capacity allows, we plan to check back, answer practical questions, and use feedback to improve support. We cannot promise a schedule or outcome.

Before participant services open

We must document and test privacy, consent, retention, and access procedures. Eligibility, prioritization, waitlists, accommodations, and appeals need written rules. Volunteer capacity, referral resources, hours, and response expectations must also be confirmed.
