Who we serve
Blind and low-vision U.S. veterans
Our mission focuses on veterans who need practical guidance, accessible resources, help with everyday technology, or a qualified referral.
Does that describe you?
You can ask a general question now. Our programs are under development, and we are not accepting participant applications or adding names to a waitlist.
Support will depend on individual need, approved program rules, trained capacity, and available resources. We cannot promise acceptance, equipment, a service, or a delivery date.
Ask a general questionBefore applications open
- Eligibility and availability
- We must approve documentation standards, service areas, capacity, application dates, prioritization, and waitlist rules.
- Accessible decisions
- We must finalize accommodations, alternate formats, decision notices, reconsideration, and appeals.
- Private records
- We must establish secure collection, access, retention, and disposal procedures.
Fair access
Our equal access commitments call for reasonable accommodations, clear decisions, and an appeal route. Eligibility should depend on program criteria, not protected characteristics. We should request only the information needed to make a decision.
