About the foundation

Our mission is to support blind veterans.

Valor Vet Foundation, Inc. exists to support blind and low-vision U.S. veterans. We are developing practical guidance, accessible resources, and connections to qualified help.

Everyday needs come first

Our approach starts with the veteran's own goals. That might mean understanding an accessibility setting on a phone, finding useful information, or knowing which organization to contact next.

We want veterans to make their own decisions with clear information and respectful support. Technology can help with some goals. Other needs call for a conversation, a resource, or a qualified referral.

How we work

We aim to communicate clearly, respect access preferences, and apply written, needs-based standards. Our board is developing the final services and operating procedures.

Accountability

Our planned controls include annual conflict disclosures, recusal from conflicted decisions, and records of finances, restricted gifts, referrals, and program decisions. Directors and officers are intended to serve without initial compensation.

Charitable support must serve veterans rather than private or insider interests. It must not be bundled with paid products. Public reports will follow when operations begin and we have verified information to share.
